Ministry for Separated & Divorced

Peace is not something you can force on anything or anyone...much less upon one's own mind. It is like trying to quiet the ocean by pressing upon the waves. Sanity lies in somehow opening to the chaos, allowing anxiety, moving deeply into the tumult, diving into the waves, where underneath, within, peace simply is.

~ Gerald G. May

Ministry for Separated and Divorced is a psychoeducational/psychospiritual group that meets for eight weeks to provide support, education, and encouragement for those whose marriages have ended in divorce.

Whether expected or unexpected, the experience of divorce has the potential to awaken us spiritually into meaningful insight and reflection about who we are, where God is with us in the process, and ways to move forward into new beginnings. Recognizing that shame, blame, loss of confidence and self-esteem are often issues that surface through divorce, Ministry for Separated and Divorced offers healing connection to self, God and others going through this process.

"Today expect something good to happen to you no matter what occurred yesterday.  Realize the past no longer holds you captive.  It can only continue to hurt you if you hold on to it.  Let the past go.  A simply abundant world awaits."

  ~ Sara Ban Breathnach

The knowledge of the past stays with us.  To let go is to release the images and emotions, the grudges and fears, the clingings and disappointments of the past that bind our spirit.

~ Jack Kornfield
